It’s Spotify Wrapped season !!! Seeing the annual record of all the songs you’ve listened to can make you reflect on your journey, the stories of your existence, and your state of mind during that period. The summary of your listening habits is a way to remember every moment, every win, every loss, every tear and every experience that shaped your 2025.
The year is coming to a close. Your year may have been rocky or joyous, but no matter how things are for you right now, these are songs that you can dance to as you count your victories or songs that could fill you with hope and motivation if you are in a bad place.
1. Holiday, Greatman Takit.
The singer prays for the well-being of his family as he remembers how they held him up when he was down.
“Cause I remember when you dey for me
When I no get power to gbe body
You be the person I be steady calling
Lifting up when I be steady falling.”
This song, which is laced with a mellow beat, is nice to listen to if you’re feeling low and need encouragement or if you’re concerned about your loved ones. He prays for every day to be like a “holiday” for his family, free from struggles and full of happiness.

2. Time for Shift, God’swill Oyor, Dr Paul Enenche, Greatman Takit.
“Time for shift” is a song that is almost militant in its beat and its proclamations. It gives comfort not in a solemn, put your head on my shoulders way, but in a radical way that makes you want to take on the whole world.
“We are getting stronger
We are getting wiser
We are moving higher
We are moving forward
We are gaining time
We are catching up.”

3. God no go shame us, Prinx Emmanuel.
This is a song that can literally make you dance away your sorrows and laugh at its quips. If you think things are so bad for you and that there’s no hope, let the lyrics fill your soul and move you to dancing. He reminds us that God is there for us and won’t leave us.
The song is saying that where there is life, there is hope and that there’s light at the end of the tunnel in a hundred funny ways.
“Oga, this one no be bobo
I no dey tell wetin i dont know
When the time go reach for you to go collect your bread
You go collect in jumbo
It don tey wey you dey grind eh
it be like say your own never enter
When dey go send you alert eh
Alaye dey no go you Xender.”

4. Joy, Marizu.
Joy gives strength. Some people rely on others, wealth, and perfect circumstances to be happy, but the singer says that he has an inexplicable joy that money cannot buy. He says that he has “joy in the midst of the gbege.” Even in the midst of trouble, he is full of joy.
“Father, yes You fill heart’s desires
Oh I’ve come to find
You are the treasure
No be Gucci or Armani
You be the one I really need
You be the one for me
You be the one in me
Give me so much peace
You put my mind at ease.”
Listening to him sing about how joyful he is will cause joy to spring up from within you.

5. He cares for you, Mayor Boss.
“He cares for you” is a song that feels like a warm hug. With its chill beat, the singer softly tells us to cast our cares on God because he cares for us. Worrying and anxiety are not healthy and will not solve your problems, but will even make things worse because of the negativity they attract. The song tells the story in the Bible of Jesus’ admonition against worrying. Jesus uses the illustration of birds, flowers and other things in nature that just exist but are sustained to point out the futility of worrying and how it shows a lack of faith in the One that sustains all things.
“Cast all your anxieties on Him
Because He cares for you
Give all your worries and cares to God
For He cares about you.”
6. No Lele, Greatman Takit & Energize Music.
“No lele” hits you with the dopamine you need to “carpe diem” (seize the day). Its afro fusion and Igbo traditional music blend will have you singing along at the top of your lungs, even if you don’t understand the lyrics. The singers’ awareness of their invincibility in Christ inspires boldness in the listeners.
“Anything they plan against me o
No lele
Una fugo my defender o
No lele
That your catapult go meet odeshi o
No lele.”

7. In the Room, Maverick City feat Anatoria.
This song is a great reminder that God is with us, literally, “in the room,” so don’t think you’re alone and fall into despair. The song, with its engaging afro beat, stirs up faith in you as it tells the story of great people in the Bible who also experienced tribulations, but God came through.
“Just go ask Daniel if our God will bring you out
And he will testify (testify)
He shuts the lion′s mouth
Go ask those Hebrew boys if He’ll stick by your side
They will identify, there′s another in the fire.”

8. We move, Mercy Chinwo.
This song will set the tone for a successful day. The intense and catchy “WE MOVE” in the chorus will strengthen your resolve to forge through any obstacle and come back victorious.
“It’s my season of increase
Forward ever
Backward never.”
The singer is also conscious that it is the grace and favour of God that gives her an advantage in this world: “For the lord has gone ahead of me, to make every crooked way straight.”

9. One Day, Limoblaze & KB.
This song from Limoblaze’s album, Young & Chosen, presents hope to us, not as a solemn flower but as a beating drum. In this song, encouragement is not a friend that wipes your tears but a legion of soldiers chanting and urging you on.
“One day, we will see the Son raised
Even in a dark place
We will be here singing for the rest of our lives
We are young and chosen
We’ll keep fighting today
Even if it takes us the rest of our lives.”
The singer tells us to hang in there and endure the challenges we may face. At the end, there’ll be no loss or sorrow.

10. Steeze, Louis Pascal.
This song is a vibe. The singer says that no matter what happens, he’ll always maintain his “steeze”. As we enjoy the music, we understand the importance of maintaining our composure no matter what may provoke us or try to bring us down. He makes bold declarations like “winning is my way” and “once it concerns me, it will work.” His confidence is not based on mere optimism and positive thinking; it is founded on his faith in God.
“I have legions of Angels around me
And Jesus Within me, I’m not afraid
Fashion any weapon against me,
In the valley of darkness, I will not shake.”
