It follows Chioma and Obiora nicknamed “Odogwu pararan” as they navigate challenges at work, self value and vanity in dating preferences and internalized tribalism.

2. Ruth and Boaz
Ruth and Boaz Ruth and Boaz is modern retelling loosely based on the bible story about Ruth. When Noami’s husband and son, who is also Ruth’s boyfriend, die in a car accident , Ruth follows Naomi to her old home town. Boaz, a renowned wine maker in the town gets attracted to her and they face many hurdles together.

3. Something Like Gold
Tamara Jolayemi Scott is the daughter of a rich politician and a spoilt brat. She gets the Job experience where she loses everything in one day when her father gets arrested. Her husband-to-be jilts her and her friends and relatives abandon her. She is taken care of by the only person that is willing to help, her ex Nanny and she learns a thing or two about humility and character. She falls in love with Tunde- a local wood carver who is a very instrumental part to her personal growth.

4. Miss Dial
This is a chill and soft romance that began when Erica, a consumer affairs rep, decided to make connections with people by dialing random phone numbers. She randomly calls Kyle and they fall in love as they get to know each other.

5. The Wedding Party 1
You must have watched this movie already, but just in case, this is a must watch if you love weddings and the drama that comes with it.
Dozie and Dunni face so many obstacles and mishaps on their wedding day from family acceptance to exes that it seems their dream day may not bacome a reality.

6. My Big Fat Greek Wedding 1
This is a 2002 movie that portrays the struggles of Toula Portakolos with self image, family expectations and her Greek identity in a light hearted , hilarious way. She falls in love with Ian Miller – a non-Greek and deals with the family unwillingness to accept someone outside of their culture.

7. Pride and Prejudice
This one is for the lovers of the classics. This 2005 movie version of the beloved novel is about Elizabeth Bennet and Mr Darcy and how they put aside their “pride and prejudice” as they develop affection for each other.

8. Mr Malcolm’s List
IMr Malcolm’s List was made into a movie from a book of the same name. Set in 19th Century London, the movie follows the eponymous Mr Malcolm as he seeks to find a wife based on a list of preferences. Julia Thistlewaithe, hurt that she was rejected by Mr Malcolm and made fun of by the society, forms a plan with her best friend Selena which somewhat backfires as Mr Darcy and Selena truly fall in love.

9. Rosaline
This is an hilarious retelling of the popular (I’m trying to think of a better word) story “Romeo and Juliet” by William Shakespeare. It tells the story of the woman Romeo left for Juliet and how she ends up falling in love.

10. A Bride for the Season
Ayoola Badmus is going through a lot as he copes with his father’s death and serial heart break. He steps out in faith and makes the crazy decision to get married on Christmas Day in his single pringle state. Ayoola hires Teni to plan his wedding and surprise surprise, they fall in love.
